- Butter - 1/2 cup (1 stick), room temperature
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Salt - 1/2 tsp (or just use salted butter)
- Eggs - 2
- Vanilla Extract - 1 tsp
- All-purpose Flour - 1 1/2 cups, sifted
- Baking Soda - 1 tsp
- Baking Powder - 1 tsp
- Bananas - 3 ripe, mashed
In a mixing bowl, combine the butter and sugar; mix well. Add salt, eggs, vanilla, flour, baking soda, baking powder, and bananas. Mix well.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 50 minutes.
Hints:
- Unbleached or wheat flour works well and provides texture.
- A handful of dried cranberries and/or pecans add a tasty touch.
